First, and foremost welcome to Fresno’s Black Wall Street Community Advancement Initiative! We are thrilled you’re here, and are excited to share our vision, resources, and family with you. Together we will rebuild, educate, and advocate the importance of our unity. It’s been done, so we cannot say that it is impossible.

Black Wall Street History: 

Fresno Black Wall Street, Gives honor to the iconic “Black Wall Street” of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Approaching the 1920’s racially divided communities became the mecca for black businesses. Blacks developed and supported their own entities and operations. Black owned businesses was at an all-time high, creating one of the most prosperous African American communities in America. This Community consisted of over 600 businesses, 21 Grocery Stores, 21 Churches, bus system, private airplanes, school system , lawyers and doctors. 
 
Home for many prominent black business, in the Greenwood community, until June 1st, 1920. One of the deadliest race riots, Led by the “Ku Klux Klan” resulted in the destruction of all these businesses claiming the lives of as many as 300 African Americans, leaving more than 9,000 homeless. The destruction of the original Black wall Street was also the Grass Root to what would have led the African American Community to Success......
 
If the original Black Wall Street still existed today in 2017, today’s African American community would be thriving with success. Fresno Black Wall Street, represents the rebirth of prosperous African American communities. This database of excellence, is to allow black entrepreneurs, business owners, and black consumers to become economically synced. Reclaiming our finances, and proclaiming our spending power.

Our Mission Statement: 

Our Primary Goal here at Fresno Black Wall Street is to Organize, Build, Promote, and Educate. Fresno Black Wall Street is an organization with a vision of redefining the value of life to our Black communities. To promote and sustain economic wellness within urban communities. Advocating black owned businesses, educating consumers, encouraging financial wellness for generations to come. Serve as a liaison between existing communities. Provide opportunities for members to interact and foster profitable business relationships.

Our Vision Statement: 

Where minority consumers effectively support and spend their dollars with business of color. Generating a revenue that benefits their own community. For there to be a strong Black community we must have strong black businesses, for there to be strong black businesses we must have a strong black wall street.   
Fresno Black Wall Street is the motivational force that drives the black community to economic empowerment; from our community events, to our black magazine publishing, black new segment, youth program, investment group, Our goal is to build a community of conscious thinkers, where we can establish a network full of resources that will build, educate, and invest in our community.

About Adrian C. King
President & CEO

One of the city’s leading young professionals, Adrian Harris. CEO of Fresno VIBE & Black Wall Street. Events promotion & business information firm. Harris has been in the central valley since 2006
by way of navy, as he is Houston born and raised. His family and aspirations for the valley has made Fresno, CA his new home. Harris believes the possibilities here are endless, with active entities as platforms to effectively contribute towards community, bringing forth the changes he so desires.

Welcoming, the southern traditional family style fun to the city. FresnoVibe & Black Wall Street is responsible for the 2017 soul food, BBQ & seafood festivals which took place at downtowns bitwise industries. Resulting in community togetherness, through live music, food & fun. Wall Street has been a platform to educate and build with small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs in any capacity. Its mission is to promote and sustain economic wellness, while educating consumers & encouraging financial sustainability. 

Adrian is one of 3 partners of the Vision View Formation Center, home to Fresno’s leading and aspiring entrepreneurs and businesses. Kina Mc Fadden the principle of eye connect dots, connecting people to businesses. The primary vision view visionary herself, Laneesha Senegal of H.O.P.E, Helping others purse excellence. This collaborative team has arrived, to merely change the game. Newly launched entrepreneur business hub, features 33,000 square feet. In addition, private and exclusive meeting space, conference rooms, a cyber lounge & a variety of other business sources. Some of his vision view goals are to, Promote and advocate in-house businesses. Servicing this community & establishing partnerships. Add to the quality and value of the Airport District. Having put his best foot forward, the best has yet to come. 

Some of Harris’ short term goals consist of founding Vibe & Associates brokerage firm, which focuses will be real estate, insurance and financial literacy for generations to come. Where investments will influence infrastructure and economic development.
